From the moment you walk in you will be treated like family. We were greeted by every one and the service better than 98% of restaurants. The chicken parm was delicious, the chicken was crispy and full of flavor and the serving was very generous.
Beautiful place! It was decorated nicely for Valentine's Day, and they had a special menu for it as well. My fiance had the Chicken Piccata and I had the Chicken Parmesan. The presentation was amazing! Both dishes were extremely tasty and had perfect seasoning. Our server was very nice and attentive. It was a bit crowded, but things were running smoothly with friendly help.
The food, service, and ambience are amazing! You have to try the chicken parmigiana and spicy rigatoni!! The food came out hot and freshly made. The owner came over to greet our table, and our waitress was extremely friendly! We dined in on a busy Thursday before Valentine’s and there was no wait.
I just had lunch with a girlfriend of mine and WOW, I couldn't write this review fast enough. The service was outstanding. The waiter told what i assume was the owner that we wanted asparagus fries that we had seen on the menu online that weren't on the menu today. We were more than willing to try something else but someone back there made it happen. They were so delicious.<br>Pollo Bronx was the best chicken parm I've ever had in my life. They put on a little show with the cheese drizzle atop the chicken. We enjoyed the conversation and the ambiance (very nicely decorated for valentine's) so much that we forgot about the complimentary bread and oil til the end.<br>The waitstaff seemed to be trained for fine/semi-fine dining. The owner came around a few times to check on us as did the server.<br>We are already planning birthdays and anniversaries so we can come back.<br>I can't wait to have my leftovers.
The service was amazing! Very very fast, attentive, normal portions. We got the shrimp fettuccine, chicken parmesan and a desert. Highly recommend, except it's a little pricey.
This is hands down the best place for Italian!!!! The flavors are savory and amazing. Everything here is a must try, from the lamb chops with the garlic mashed potatoes, the chicken Parmesan, fettuccine Alfredo, penne alla vodka and of course their Sol fish. I know we will definitely be coming back. Also please bring back the chocolate cake🙏🙏🙏
On a Sunday at 12:45 pm, there was no wait for a table of four, and the noise level was moderate, just bordering on loud. Service was excellent, and the owner came by a few times. Generous portions of food and hot fresh bread with a tasty oil accompaniment. I'm a bread gal, so that was my favorite--no apparent limit. 😀 We had the calamari with a slightly spicy marinara sauce and the house aioli for dipping. We shared two side salads. I added some of the ailoi to mine for a richer taste. We ordered the sole on risotto, orechiette with sausage and vegetables, chicken Parmigiano, and the pork chop. Everything was tasty. The chicken Parmigiano came with a thin sauce, but the server delivers it with a hot skillet of cheesy Alfredo sauce they pour on top until you say stop. Yummy. The pork chop came with zucchini and carrots cooked just right; the chop was breaded and topped with pecans and a fig jam--it was very tasty but the chop overdone and tough, so disappointing when everything else was so good. We had the cannoli, blueberry cheesecake, and biscotti cheesecakes. These were all enjoyable. My companions had Chianti and Moscato, which they liked. Despite the chops, we'll definitely return another day.
Three food was amazing! The Pollo e Monte and chicken Parm were delicious. Our server named Jace was very attentive. The food was brought out surprisingly fast! It was a pretty long wait, which is to be expected for a popular restaurant on a Friday night. When the owner realized we'd been waiting for awhile he was very apologetic and even showed us to the table himself. Overall a lovely dining experience.
Beyond amazed with everything at this restaurant! The atmosphere, the food, THE SERVICE! Our waitress was the absolute best! She was very down to earth! Very friendly! Everyone was super sweet! Very attentive! And thennn the food arrived! Oh eem geee! It was DELICIOUS!! Mouth watering! We tried the chicken parm, the lamb chops, the fish, even down to the appetizers were absolutely delicious! Even walking out of the restaurant the owner walked us out and thanked us for coming. I can honestly say we will be coming back for sure! It’s our new favorite place! ♥️

Each dish was exceptional and reflected an impressive level of quality and care. The chicken Parmigiana was perfectly prepared, with a crisp golden crust, tender and juicy chicken, and a rich marinara topped with beautifully melted cheese that brought everything together flawlessly. The sole fish with scallops was elegant and expertly cooked—the sole was light, flaky, and fresh, while the scallops were perfectly seared, buttery, and melt-in-your-mouth delicious. The rigatoni pasta was hearty and comforting, cooked to a perfect al dente texture and coated in a flavorful sauce that stood beautifully on its own.<br><br>What truly elevated the entire experience, though, was Allison. She was attentive, warm, and genuinely welcoming, making sure everything was perfect from start to finish. Her professionalism, kindness, and attention to detail made the meal feel special and well cared for, turning a great dinner into an outstanding dining experience.

Amazing atmosphere. The place was decked out for Christmas with garland everywhere and a large tree in the middle of the room. The organ decor is unique and comforting. And the food! This is one of few places we have found a thin Italian lasagna noodle like you would get in Italy. I didn’t check their website, but the most make their pasta in house. My wife had the lasagna and I had the Bronx chicken parm - this had table side mozzarella drizzled over the dish from a frying pan. Great presentation. The staff are congenial and you don’t wait long for anything. They all wear the US flag on their T-shirt. The manager came by and said hello to every table. My tiramisu was a delight. We will definitely be back.
I really don't get how this place has thousands of 5 star reviews. It's an average to below average italian restaurant. We ordered the chicken parm with the pour over cheese. Half of my cheese remained stuck to the pan and covered half my chicken parm. The portion was small. The chicken cutlet tasted industrial and super heavy deep fried. The sauce was not benefited by the added spicy element. The pasta was just ok. Not everything is bigger in texas as this is one of the smaller chicken parms ive had.
Staff was very nice, I called my order in and picked it up. However, the restaurant is very small and there was barely enough space for the waiters to walk around. Based on the food I received, I will never eat here again. Shortly after I finished my meal, my stomach was very upset, and I did not feel well for the rest of the night. I got the Bronx Chicken Parm and I only ate the pasta because the chicken was not good whatsoever. I understand it’s another take on Chicken Parm but it was disgusting to say the least. They basically cut up pickled jalapeños/peppers and added it to the mixture of whatever they breaded it with. I wanted to like this place and I thought it was going to be great based on the reviews, but it was a disappointment. I’m making this review so no one else goes through what I went through, food poisoning is real and this place will give it to you.
My wife and I got the Chicken Parmigiana. It was fantastic!!! Really cool how they take a pan of melted mozzarella cheese and pour it on top of the chicken; unique.
Had originally seen this place via social media. When I saw their chicken parmigiana mozzarella cheese goodness I knew I had to try it. Thus, we came to celebrate our daughter’s birthday and college graduation. The made us feel like family.<br><br>Every thing we tried was fresh and amazing flavors. The ingredients and fusion of their love manifested itself in the food. We had apps, meals and desserts.<br><br>This is the gnocchi and burrata appetizer. Their specialty plate is the Bronx Pollo Parmiagiana. Not featured as I could not add a video.

Amazing service! Very attentive and clean. Utensils were replaced after appetizers and our drinks never reached the bottom of the glass. The Chicken Parmesiana was great! It has a little spice to the sauce but extremely flavorful. The crab cakes were also flavorful. Definitely recommend coming by. The price is definitely affordable.
The food was incredible all the way from the bread, to the ceasar dressing to the chicken parm! Absolutely delicious! Then the service is incredible. It starts with the owner, and his inviting spirit trickles down through all the servers. I loved the experience and I will MOST DEFINITELY be going back again. The signature dish here is the chicken Parm. It is the best. It is light breading but enough to make it flavorful. They do have a full bar to enjoy a cocktail with dinner. I don't drink alcoholic beverages but I'm sure they are as good as the entire experience was very memorable.The prices are pretty average I would say it's the perfect spot for dinner and birthday celebrations. Our waitress was very attentive and pleased to accommodate our party for all our wants and needs. I would give it 10 stars if I could.

This restaurant is great! We got calamari, veil parmesan and chicken parmesan. They poured the cheese on which was really cool. Within 5 minutes of ordering the appetizer it came out. When we were heading back outside to wait the owner stopped and apologized for the wait. He was so nice my husband thought he knew us at first. The food was delicious, service was great and I loved the vibe of the place. We came for our anniversary and we will definitely be returning. My husband said this is the best restaurant he's ever been to!
They don’t just make meals, they make memories!<br>From the moment you walk in, you are made to feel at home. We were greeted very warmly by every single person in that building, especially by Javier, our waiter, Joe our liaison and the manager Prince. We had a beautiful table with wonderful bread and olive oil with seasonings.<br><br>I had some lovely light Italian beer, and my son joining me had a soda. He was already relaxed and having a wonderful time. And then the food came!<br>We barely began eating, and I could see how happy he was, and he tells me, “ This is our new number one spot, Dad!”. I had the chicken Parmesan with vodka sauce, and let me tell you it was perfect and topped with a generous portion of fresh mozzarella cheese. My son had spaghetti and marinara sauce and said it was the best he’s ever had.<br><br>The chef came out because I had to compliment the sample I had of their chicken piccata sauce. It said delightful sauce and they take special care to keep the flavors of the caper separate from the butter sauce until you bite into the capers. We will definitely be going back! I really loved this place.
I would have stopped to take a picture but for food that is this delicious, there is no waiting. We had the Bronx chicken parm and the tiramisu and it was absolutely amazing. I can't wait to try more of their menu. The service is the absolute best I've had since I moved to San Antonio. We ordered through door dash and the dasher gave us the wrong order. In my experience when this happens the restaurants offer little help and tell you to go through door dash to have the order fixed. We did try to rectify the situation through door dash and it was going to take an hour for them to make a decision to refund us. We called Mare E Monte just on the chance they could help. The owner personally brought us our food!!! He is truly outstanding especially since this was the dashers fault for picking up the wrong order. They really do treat you like family. If you have not eaten here, I HIGHLY recommend it. This is my new go to spot for italian food.

Drove from Corpus Christi to eat here. It was definitely worth the drive. My husband a d I were treated like family. All staff had a smile and very courteous. Owner came out to welcome everyone in the restaurant.. We had a table side chicken parm. I will have a smile for the rest of my weekend after the delicious food we experienced 😋
Very impressed with this restaurant. People are so friendly, as is the owner. Food is absolutely delicious, made with quality ingredients. Our waitress Michaela was wonderful. Definitely will be returning. We had the artichoke appetizer, so good and tender. My husband had the bronx pollo which is chicken parm, very good. I had the fettuccine with chicken, also excellent. The bread and oil dip were also very good, had to ask for seconds! And to end the night, we had the tiramisu. Very airy and light . Highly recommend
We came bc we saw a video on elder eats on instagram…the Bronx chicken Parmesan elder got looked amazing… but when we ordered it…it looked nothing like the one elder ate 😩. My son and i were disappointed…the owner was very welcoming and even suggested some things for my husfriend to try bc he doesn’t like Italian food…when I showed him the picture of what I was going to order he said to make sure I asked for it elder style.., which I did…the color wasn’t even the same…there was no broccolini either… it was tasty…my son thought it was just ok…what lesson did I learn…they hype up the videos on instagram to get you to go in 😞
A great and welcomeing experience. The food was awesome, extremely well seasoned and spiced. I had the chicken parm that they top off table side. The hostess, wait staff and owner were all great. Prince (the owner) checked in with us several time to make us feel welcome, from when we walked in, to when we were waiting at the bar, as well as at the table. Our waitress Nadia was great and attentive. What a great night!

Absolutely amazing experience here in an unassuming strip mall.<br>Service was attentive and welcoming.<br>I had the chicken parm (5/5). Crispy, the vodka sauce was flavorful and the pasta on the side was so gooey! My boyfriend got the lobster ravioli that he absolutely loved. We shared the cannolis (amazing crunch) and French fries. Would definitely come back when we’re down south!

I had been wanting to come here for months and finally got the chance to with my beautiful girlfriend! As soon as I walked in I was greeted by the owner saying “welcome home.” Food was A1, I got the lamb chops which the owner told me I did not need a fork or knife for. He was right! My other half got the chicken Parmesan and that was truly the best chicken parm I’ve ever had! Oliver was our server who was phenomenal! 10/10 experience overall would highly recommend!

Truly the best Italian food in San Antonio. Fresh, flavorful and perfect spices. We ordered the Bronx Chicken Parmesan and the Pasta Al Nero. Both were so delicious!! Our waiter was Genc, he was spectacular!

I've had chicken parmesan on 5 continents and this was the best.
We went here for my birthday, I wanted some seafood and pasta!! After reviewing the menu online I was so excited to try this place.<br>However when we got here the parking was, not ideal, to say the least. I really wish there were better signs for the parking but that's the only reason I'm not giving the 5 stars.<br><br>We ordered Asparagus Fries for an appetizer they had a bit of spice but were so tender and flavorful and the yogurt dip was delicious!<br>I ordered the Lobster Ravioli Mare e Monte with Shrimp, the shrimp was tender, soft and pink, the ravioli was filled with delicious savory lobster meat and the sauce was titch but not over.<br>My husband ordered the Bronx Pollo Parmigiana (Chicken Parmesan) the chicken was tender, juicy and flavorful, had a nice bit of a mouth and just made you want to eat more. The spicy chicken paired perfectly with the creamy sauce.<br>We also ordered the Tiramisu and cannolis to go. The tiramisu was rich and decadent , the cannolis shell was flaky yet held together, the cream inside was indulgent. Even though we had to take it home it was so wonderful.<br><br>Another thing that made this place wonderful, is the owner came around to every table, shook our hand and made sure we knew it's like a family and whatever we needed he made sure to make it happen. You can definitely feel the family home cooked Italian vibes.<br><br>Will definitely come back, and can't wait to try more.
I took my wife here for her birthday on Sunday. We had no trouble finding the place, but the parking was a nightmare. There is only a small parking lot in front and there are multiple restaurants here. There is a sign for parking in the back on the right side, where there is a drive thru for the BBQ place. Needless to say it was not the best, I was actually leaving to go somewhere else. When my wife told me to turn on the next road and we found the parking in the back that indeed had lots of available parking. Little tip may want to put a sign in the entrance and another on this sided road, would help a lot of people without having to go through that tiny parking lot and having to make a tight u-turn.<br><br>There was a door on the back of the building that allowed us to get in without walking around the building which was nice. Though working our way to the front was rough as the tables are all very close together. Once we made it to the front we were then seated very quickly, due to the closeness of the tables we actually had to move ours to make room to sit down. Our waitress was very courteous and knowledgeable about the menu and wines. I am not as picky as my wife when it comes to wines, so I ordered a nice glass of Chianti. My wife ordered a Riesling because she likes sweet wines. The waitress brought her a sample of it and it was not what she was expecting. She then offered another that she may like and brough it. Sure enough my wife loved it.<br><br>We ordered Asparagus Fries for an appetizer and my wife ordered the (Lobster) Ravioli Mare e Monte with Shrimp and I ordered the Bronx Pollo Parmigiana (Chicken Parmesan). Everything was exceptional the Asparagus was crisp and the sesame seed yogurt dip complemented it very well. My wife loved every bit of her meal as did I. As they were big portions of everything we ended up taking half of it home. We also ordered the Tiramisu and Cannoli's to go.<br><br>The food was just as good later that night as it was in the establishment. The Tiramisu was decadent in it's flavorings and the Cookies and Cream flavored Cannoli's were out of this world.<br><br>Would definitely go back hopefully during non-peak hours. I just hope they open up just a wee bit of space to make it more comfortable.
Wonderful atmosphere. It is very rare to find a restaurant that treats you like family. They brought my wife and I wipes when my son dropped his toy. It was very thoughtful. I had the chicken Parmesan. It was SPECTACULAR. Best Italian food in the city. I will be back soon. Thanks again.
This has to be the best Italian restaurant in San Antonio. I had their meatballs, calamari, their version of chicken parm with some of their rigatoni noodles, their ravioli and dessert was tiramisu. Everything tasted wonderful and will definitely be going back. Love this place!

All I’ve got to say is the reviews DON’T LIE! This place is 1000/10 on every level! I have never had service as outstanding as I’ve had here, even from the owner himself. The food is absolutely delicious (we had the chicken parm and lobster ravioli). I cannot wait to go back and try more. Do yourself a favor and try this place, you won’t be disappointed!

Upon arrival we were seated right away. Our waiter was friendly and personable. The food from the Calamari, Chicken Parmigiana, Pollo Scarpariello, Duck fat potatoes, garlic mashed potatoes to Blueberry Cheese was delicious! Serena was great because she anticipated our needs. We ordered the bronx chicken parmigiana for my Mother and she recommended we put the cherry peppers on the side due to my Mom being sensitive to spiciness. She ended up absolutely loving the chicken parmegiana with the creamy sauce on the rigatoni! The atmosphere with the music was calming yet also very upbeat. The lobster ravioli was amazing! The best I've ever had! 10/10 food, 10/10 atmosphere and 10/10 service!

Went to the location for the BBQ place next door,they were out of brisket and turkey so I decided to try this place . I walked in and noticed it was packed . I was greeted at the door by the owner and was offered a seat at the bar. The service was top notch and the food was delicious . I highly recommend the tiramisu . It was $10 but you get a nice portion and it’s delicious. For the meal, I had the Bronx chicken parm which was crispy and season to perfection . It’s a small place but very well decorated and feels very cozy. 5 stars all the way .
Food was fabulous. We had Asparagus fries as an appetizer. For our entrees, I had the Sole and my brother had the chicken Parmigiana. We had tiramisu for dessert. Restaurant was very clean, staff very friendly. The owner came in and greeted everyone, shook our hands, asked about our experience and thanked everyone for coming in to eat. New favorite restaurant! We lived in Naples, Italy, for 3 years so we're always looking for authentic Italian cuisine in San Antonio. Had dinner there tonight with my wife and daughter. Their wine selection by the glass was good, and we had the Chianti, which was excellent. The calamari appetizer is the best calamari I've had in years, and our salad with burrata cheese was excellent, too. We had the chicken parm and the sole; both were fantastic. Bourbon apple pecan pie for dessert, and it was outstanding. Our waiter, Kyron, was very attentive and knowledgeable, and the owner, Prince, is a great guy, and very pro-American. We will be back!!!

The Bronx Chicken Parm is some of the best Chicken parm I’ve ever had! The lighting was nice and it wasn’t too loud for a small space. I highly recommend taking a visit to see Prince as he walks around greeting customers.

Absolutely fantastic experience at this new Italian gem! We started with a delicious appetizer, and I had the penne allá vodka, which was perfectly cooked and bursting with flavor. For dessert, I enjoyed a delightful blueberry lemon tarte that was the perfect balance of sweet and tangy. My husband had the chicken Parmesan, and he couldn’t stop raving about how tender and flavorful it was. The owner checked in on us multiple times and personally wished us goodbye, making us feel incredibly welcome. The service was top-notch, and we’ll definitely be back. Highly recommend!
Reasonable pricing and quality food!! My favorite was the veal picatta and the Caesar salad! We also had the chicken Parmesan and eggplant Parm! Great Service and very nice atmosphere!
The best Italian in SA! Food was wonderful!! We ordered the veal piccata, chicken parmesan, a side of eggplant parmigiana and a caesar salad. The owner came in to greet us. We felt like we had homemade food. Ambiance is very nice. White tablecloths and nice napkins. They offered us complementary wine. My favorite was the Caesar salad and the chicken Parmesan. Wonderful music and great service.<br>Highly reccomend!!!
This place was great. My husband loved the chicken parm, our fried ravioli app was yummy, and we ended up ordering all 3 deserts. The complimentary glass of wine was very sweet but very good. Service is almost too much? Is that a thing? There are a LOT of workers, server, drink bringers, the manager, the hostess… everyone was lovely and kind but it was a lot.
We visited due to all the positive comments and reviews. It did not disappoint! The service was fast and attentive, and the food was delicious. The Chicken Parmesan is at another level. We also had the Pasta Al Nero with Shrimp, and that was also tasty. All food was fresh and definitely filling. We will be back! Give them a try.
Dinner at Mare E Monte last night after having had lunch there about 10 days ago. The ambiance and service here is fantastic. The owner is very attentive and friendly as well. On first visit, I had lasagna, which was excellent. Last night, we started with their caprese salad, which was a different variation on caprese but absolutely amazing and probably the most tasty we have had. My entree was the Bronx Chicken Parm, which was excellently prepared but be aware it is spicy. My wife had the Sole Oreganato, which she thought was one of her favorite fish dishes ever, delicate but complex. We finished with a very good affogato for dessert. I highly recommend this new restaurant!
We went to Male E Monte last night for my wife’s birthday. The owner made us feel so welcome, almost like family. Truly a kind person and the kind of restauranteur who deserves your hard earned money. The ambiance is lovely for being located in a newer strip mall. Felt classy and intimate with mood lighting on the table, and white table cloths. The food was excellent, and in my opinion priced too low for what it was. The complimentary bread was fresh and warm, and the herbed olive oil was alive with rosemary. The grilled artichoke appetizer was wonderful, with contrasting temperatures, flavors and textures. For our entree, my wife had the chicken parm which was amazing. It does have some heat to it, so if you’re sensitive to spice I would consider choosing a different menu item. We found it to be perfect and delicious. I had the lamb chops. The lamb was cooked to my preferred temperature, with a great sear and a nice clean flavor. The garlic mashed potatoes were an excellent pairing. We took a lasagna to go for my mother who couldn’t join us, and it was delicious as well. They included some bread which was a nice touch. Finally, a complimentary dessert to end the evening was beautiful.<br><br>If you love Italian food, PLEASE go experience Mare E Monte. They just opened 3 weeks ago and they deserve your patronage. We will absolutely be back!
Ardit is an amazing waiter. I think this is the best Italian Restaurant in Texas . Chicken parmigiana was amazing, lamp chops also . Can’t wait to be back ☝️
