Fabulous! This restaurant continues to exceed expectations. Javier, our waiter was very friendly, attentive and engaging. Our party of six had a variety of dishes and to include lamb chops, lobster ravioli and Bronx pollo parmigiana pollo. All the dishes were delicious. The owner also passed by a few times to check on us and ensure we were having a good dining experience. Give this restaurant a try and you won’t be disappointed. Excellent customer service!

New favorite Italian. Had the crab & shrimp cake appetizer. Best crab cake I ever had. The lobster ravioli and the lasagna were both excellent. The service was excellent; very attentive but not overly so. Can’t wait to try the rest of the menu.

The moment we entered the restaurant we were told “welcome home“. Staff at the restaurant makes you feel like you’re dining in someone’s home. The smells are fantastic. Our waiter, Ben, was so welcoming and wanted to know about us his new friends. I had seen a couple videos about this restaurant on Instagram and had some ideas what I wanted to try. I was not ready for the stracciatella al Fuoco. This dish was wonderful. The cool of the Burrata mixing with a warm sauce was delicious. There was a spiciness to it and everyone at the table spooned it onto the crostini and devoured the dish. A member of our dining party had the pollo Bronx Parmigiana. The videos on the Internet of the cheese being poured over the dish don’t do it justice to see in this live and in person. The ravioli Mare e Monte is a delicious blend of lobster ravioli, and a sauce that has veal. Very tasty. My wife enjoyed the sole oregenata which had a light and crispy crust with a delicious lemon butter sauce. I had the Vitello alla Picatta. I normally don’t order veal, but on my waiters recommendation, I tried this dish. The veal was Very tender and cooked to perfection. The secret to this dish is the crispy capers! We were all so stuffed but we couldn’t leave without trying the tiramisu. A wonderful way to end a great meal with friends. I will recommend this restaurant to all my friends and I will make trip across town to dine here on a more regular basis.

Your home !! Delicious food, Service was exemplary. The flavors, unique and well done. The menu, unique and Adriatic based it seems, not fully researched but it feels that way. So good. Who does a meat on lobster ravioli, they do. Wow.

Been meaning to come by sooner. Glad we finally made it, dad we didn't do it sooner. Had the ravioli, top notch, no notes unless you're allergic, get this. The missus had the lasagna, which got a "mmmm" after each bite which if your ask me is the highest praise. We started the meal with the Stracciatella which was the best recommendation from our server. Overall come eat here. Thank me later

I shared a meal with a friend today at Mare E Monte at lunch and was blown away by the next-level food and gracious hospitality we were shown. The owner stopped by our table and answered questions that we had about some of the menu items and steered us towards some of his personal favorites. The calamari was a nice start, which was generously portioned and well seasoned. We ordered the lobster ravioli and the fettuccini (no one batted an eye when I asked for both shrimp and chicken on top), both dishes were prepared perfectly. We capped it off with lively conversation with the owner (who stopped in again to make sure we were enjoying ourselves). I had the Italian cream cake (which at that point i could not finish) and my lunch companion hit a home run with the affogato. I am only giving 5 stars on this review, because 6 stars was not an option. If you are looking for a new Italian restaurant with great food and loads of charm, stop in for lunch or dinner and find out for yourself. We will definitely be back! Cheers!

Italian food is very common, so it is hard to stand out. However, Mare e Monte got it right. We’ve had the Lasagna, Gnocchi, Ravioli and Risotto. Outstanding flavor, consistency and presentation. Food is prepared fresh, and I think the flavor is reflective of this. Italian food looks simple, but it’s in such simplicity that details matter and what makes authentic Italian food so palatable. I can therefore tell that details are not overlooked, and that’s what makes this restaurant’s food so special. To make the experience even better, the service is also outstanding. Again, no details are spared, making you feel at home, the way Trattorias are in Italy. Good things are there to be enjoyed, Mare e Monte is one of them.

We heard about this restaurant on TicToc so wanted to try it. They do not do reservations but you can get on a waitlist via their website or through the Yelp app. We got on the list upon arrival. The wait time was just over an hour on a Friday night but worth it! You must wait outside standing on the sidewalk or in your car. There are no seats for waiting inside nor is there room. I had the Crispy Chicken Picatta. I have never had it crispy but it had so much flavor. I would order this again. Like everytime I order chicken picatta someplace, I never get enough pasta😏 My tablemate ordered the Ravioli Mare e Monte. She seemed to like it as there were no leftovers. Next time she wants to order the dish she saw in the TicToc video. Sorry I don't know the name of it. We had a side caesar salad that was really fresh and tasty and enough for two people. We had wine with our meals. They bring fresh bread to the table with some olive oil mix for dipping. That bread was delicious! I ate too much of it. We skipped dessert. The atmosphere was nice and has a bar (about 6-7 seats). The one TV at the bar has a food/travel channel on that was nice. The owner greeted everyone waiting outside for a table and continued to greet all the tables inside as well. He could maybe use a bigger space but really it works well just like it is. The service is good and the price is not too much. The food is exceptional.

We started with the Insalata Caprese, made with creamy Burrata that melted in our mouths, and the Carciofi al Tartufo—a brilliant twist on artichoke caprese that was both fresh and indulgent. For mains, the Lamb Chops were perfectly seared and seasoned, the Lobster Ravioli with Shrimp was rich and luxurious, and the Sole over Asparagus Risotto topped with a butter lemon sauce was a standout—delicate, bright, and beautifully balanced. Portions aren’t oversized, but the flavor more than makes up for it. Every bite felt intentional and crafted with care. Our server Joe was fantastic—his wine pairing recommendation elevated the entire meal. This restaurant doesn’t just serve food—it serves an experience. Can’t wait to go back!

First time walking into such a gem. We ordered the spicy calamari and it was to die for. Our entrees were so delectable. I ordered the lobster ravioli and added scallops to it. The sauce was so yummy and the raviolis were exquisite. My hubby ordered the Bronx pollo parmigiana which was beautiful with a light white spinach sauce. The chicken was very tasty. We are very happy to have found this lil piece of heaven. . We will be back because their service was impeccable. Salute!!!!

Absolutely amazing experience here in an unassuming strip mall. Service was attentive and welcoming. I had the chicken parm (5/5). Crispy, the vodka sauce was flavorful and the pasta on the side was so gooey! My boyfriend got the lobster ravioli that he absolutely loved. We shared the cannolis (amazing crunch) and French fries. Would definitely come back when we’re down south!

Absolutely AMAZING!! Everything about my experience was incredible. Phenomenal service, Edwin was attentive and extremely thoughtful. The owner, Prince, greeted us and truly made us feel at home. Everyone on the staff made us feel so comfortable and our happiness was their main priority. The food, just as amazing. We shared a Caesar salad, and I had the Pollo Bronx Parmigiana and my partner had the ravioli! The mascato wine was sweet and delicious. I was 1000% satisfied! I will be back!

Went tonight, 2nd time, we love this place. Staff is great, food is amazing and with 2 young kids we always feel welcome. Tonight I had the crispy chicken piccata which was 12/10 a the artichokes were a chefs kiss. Hubby had lasagna with meatball, it was good- although I think he prefers the lobster ravioli from the first time we visited. Kids catered to with spaghetti options. Bread was warm. We had Alize serve us tonight and she was wonderful. Manager walking around saying “welcome home” is always warm. One of our highly recommended spots for sure! Favorite Italian hands down.

As a frequent solo diner I've grown accustomed to mediocre service, oftentimes the music is way too loud and the food just so-so. Mare e Monte scores 5 stars on all counts. The modest strip center doesn't hint at the charming and comfortable interior. Great menu with many choices and not a pizza offered, thank you very much. I had the lobster ravioli with a robust tomato cream sauce. I'll be returning soon to try other dishes. Having the chef come to my table and introduce himself was a delight. I'd ne negligent if I didn't mention waiter (Jason, I believe) who provided excellent service. As a small business owner myself it's especially gratifying to discover such a wonderful locally owned restaurant. Go there.

We really loved this place! Just a quick note Yelp won’t let you join the waitlist until you’re within 5 miles, so keep that in mind. Other than that, everything was excellent. The service, the ambience, and the food were all wonderful. Joe was our server, and he was fantastic we went with his recommendations and weren’t disappointed. The spicy rigatoni was a little on the mild side for our taste, but the ravioli and calamari were outstanding. And the aioli… absolutely to die for!

Came here for my birthday with my family. Holy cow, what an experience! The Calamari Arrabiata was insane! As were the crab cakes! The lobster ravioli was delicious. My family loved the pork chops, the lamb chops, and the pasta Nero. The staff was courteous, prompt, and even funny! The place is clean and the atmosphere is pleasant. They sang Happy Birthday to me and brought out THE most delicious Tiramisu and Blueberry Cheesecake. 10 out of 10! Highly recommend!!

I have NEVER written a review whether excellent or not so great food/service. Tonight we dined at Mare E Monte after seeing the food on TikTok. The service was OUTSTANDING from start to finish. Andres was our server and suggested some items for us to try. We had the lobster ravioli and the Alfredo. Both phenomenal. Although it was very busy, the owner came to our table to introduce himself and make sure we had everything we needed. I watched the owner go from table to table to make sure everyone felt like family. I cannot get over how exceptional the food and service was. If you’re looking at reviews questioning if you should try Mare E Monte, do it! You’re guaranteed to be as impressed as we were today.

We went early on a Saturday night and got right in. However, the small restaurant filled up very quickly, so be prepared to wait if you get there at 6pm or later. We were looking forward to trying out this highly rated restaurant. Pros: most of our food was really tasty, except for the $25.00 Lobster Ravioli -- it was very fishy, and there was very little lobster meat in it. The red sauce on it was yummy, though. My husband really enjoyed his Spicy Rigatoni and the added meatball, but $4.00 for one small meatball is ridiculous. We both enjoyed the Caprese salad. Cons: the service was not excellent. Our waitress took plates the minute we took the last bite and even hovered once waiting for me to finish my salad. That is a huge pet peeve of mine. Also the food was delivered by kitchen staff, but then it took several minutes for our waitress to come back to the table to offer pepper or parmesan. We were several bites in to both the salad and main dishes before she offered these garnishes. They should be offered immediately. Also she was slow to refill our iced tea, and mistakenly gave us sweet tea once, instead of unsweet. We drank it anyway, because we didn't see her very often. She was nice, but these little things do add up over the course of a meal. Last gripe -- It's very irritating when a restaurant adds a fee to use a credit card, as this one does. No one is bringing that much cash to pay for meal, so you're forced to pay the fee. Just build that cost into the price of the food, and let people decide whether it's worth it or not. It seems like such a cheap and disingenuous thing to do to your customers. So to sum up, all in all it was not a bad meal, but we probably won't make a special trip to eat there again.

Stopped in for dinner tonight for my husbands birthday. We had lobster ravioli, lamb chops, caprese and tiramisu. Everything was amazing, food was top notch and came out so quickly, service was great. Everything was reasonably priced and the owner stopped by and had a lovely conversation with us after our meal. We will definitely be back!

My girlfriend and I had an amazing dinner at Mare E Monte. We had the calamari fritti as an appetizer and the breading along with the aioli was absolute perfection. The owner and staff were also incredibly kind and attentive. They greeted us as if we were old friends. We had the Ravioli and Fettuccini dishes as our main and both were impressive. We finished our meal with the tiramisu and we're incredibly pleased.

I went for a girl's night out and I am already planning my next visit! You could tell the pasta was made in house, it was so fresh and delicious! The lobster ravioli was my favorite dish we tried and the biscoff cheesecake for dessert. It was the perfect sweet to end the meal. Our server, Joe made excellent recommendations and was very attentive, even while it was extremely busy. We had a great first experience and cant wait to go back! I highly recommend!

My parents saw this place on Texas Eats and we came out to try it. I can’t think of one bad thing to say about our experience except that we weren’t able to try more of their menu! Everything was delicious, from the lobster ravioli to the sole to the stuffed pepper. The blueberry cheesecake was incredible too. The restaurant was on the smaller side but very well decorated. The owner, Prince, came around to welcome everyone personally and after we ate he sat down at our table to visit with us. He was so sweet and you could tell he loves what he does! We are already arguing about whose birthday we will be coming back here for!

We stopped in while on vacation from Oklahoma. Hands down the BEST food. Services was amazing as well. We had a party of 6 and didn’t have to wait at all for a table. We were met by the owner who treated us like we were family. We had the Ravioli Mare E Monte, Veal, Alfredo (one chicken and one shrimp), Gnocchi, and calamari (both options). The bread was fresh and so delicious. There was not one bit of food left on any of our plates. I wish they had a location in Oklahoma because I’d eat there all the time. This is a must for any future trips.

We went here for my birthday, I wanted some seafood and pasta!! After reviewing the menu online I was so excited to try this place. However when we got here the parking was, not ideal, to say the least. I really wish there were better signs for the parking but that's the only reason I'm not giving the 5 stars. We ordered Asparagus Fries for an appetizer they had a bit of spice but were so tender and flavorful and the yogurt dip was delicious! I ordered the Lobster Ravioli Mare e Monte with Shrimp, the shrimp was tender, soft and pink, the ravioli was filled with delicious savory lobster meat and the sauce was titch but not over. My husband ordered the Bronx Pollo Parmigiana (Chicken Parmesan) the chicken was tender, juicy and flavorful, had a nice bit of a mouth and just made you want to eat more. The spicy chicken paired perfectly with the creamy sauce. We also ordered the Tiramisu and cannolis to go. The tiramisu was rich and decadent , the cannolis shell was flaky yet held together, the cream inside was indulgent. Even though we had to take it home it was so wonderful. Another thing that made this place wonderful, is the owner came around to every table, shook our hand and made sure we knew it's like a family and whatever we needed he made sure to make it happen. You can definitely feel the family home cooked Italian vibes. Will definitely come back, and can't wait to try more.

Fantastic experience! This restaurant was incredibly clean, and the pasta tasted genuinely homemade and fresh. What really stood out was the owner, who made an effort to visit every table a wonderful personal touch. Prices were great too. I had fettuccine Alfredo, and my husband had a lobster ravioli…. Another fantastic experience! Jace was fantastic and was super attentive without being overbearing. Good with suggestions. Food is fabulous. Started with a Caprese salad that was different than most but so incredibly flavorful. Buffalo mozzarella was perfect saltiness. Sole is something you need to try. Ravioli Mare e Monte very good. You must come and try if you are looking for down home hospitality and great food.

Wow! Everything was fantastic and the staff and service were also great. I am Italian from NJ and haven’t had food that good since I was a kid at my grandmother’s house. I am so mad at myself for traveling to San Antonio for the last 4 years and not knowing about this place. Can’t wait to try everything on the menu. This has to be the best Italian restaurant in San Antonio. I had their meatballs, calamari, their version of chicken parm with some of their rigatoni noodles, their ravioli and dessert was tiramisu. Everything tasted wonderful and will definitely be going back. Love this place!

As we entered, we were greeted by the owner Prince who said “welcome home”! It was indeed a feeling of home but 5-star restaurant food. We had an appetizer of artichoke hearts. I had chicken piccata and hubby had eggplant parm and ravioli. All the food tasted and looked divine. We will definitely return🫶🏻

This place is an absolute gem! Went here for a friend’s birthday and had a lovely time. The crabcakes and ravioli were amazing, and servers and staff were all attentive and helpful. Loved how they made sure your were taken care of and satisfied with with every part of your meal. Will absolutely be going back for future date nights and to take my parents to a quaint, delicious Italian dinner.

All I’ve got to say is the reviews DON’T LIE! This place is 1000/10 on every level! I have never had service as outstanding as I’ve had here, even from the owner himself. Everything is absolutely delicious. I recommend trying the asparagus fries and the shrimp appetizer. The lamb chops were perfectly seasoned and cooked. I had the lobster ravioli, and you can actually taste how fresh the pasta is. I'm addicted to the tiramisu. I'm a tiramisu addict and I can eat this every day. My husband had the cannoli and also loved them.

I decided to go with the Seafood Risotto, and it was absolutely delicious. The flavors were perfectly balanced, and the portion size was generous. Every bite was a delight, and it was clear that fresh, high-quality ingredients were used. My friend had the Lobster Ravioli, and it was equally impressive — flavorful, well-seasoned, and beautifully plated. What really stood out, though, was the service. The waitstaff was attentive without being overbearing, and they made sure our glasses were always full and that we had everything we needed throughout the meal. The timing between courses was just right, and we never felt rushed. Overall, I would highly recommend to anyone looking for a memorable dining experience. Can’t wait to return!

Can I give 10 stars? 20? My husband was greeted by the owner with “Welcome home!” And, truly, this may be the first time I’ve felt that I’ve been home while in San Antonio. The food is delectable - do not skip the fried asparagus or artichoke hearts appetizers - and the lobster ravioli was filling & plentiful. And if the food wasn’t enough, the service was impeccable. I will be bringing everyone who visits me here. Thank you, mare e monte. You’re incredible.

Stopped in at the restaurant in passing with a neighbour of mine since we were hungry and hadn't been able to find something to suit either of our tastes via online search. I am SO glad I spotted this place in passing. The parking was a bit confusing as I didn't notice that flow of traffic was counter clockwise only I think due to one of the restaurants in the building having a drive thru. We entered through the back door as we parked behind the building. The restaurant at the time wasn't full and we didn't need a reservation. Our waiter was Guillermo and he was exceptionally professional, if you eat here, I hope you get Guillermo, he was wonderful. Service is fast as is food to come out. I ordered the lobster ravioli and it is the best pasta dish I've ever had. The sauce was flavourful, pasta was perfectly cooked, and no need for more parmesan than what it was served with. My neighbour ordered the lamb chops with shrimp and both were perfectly seasoned, no need to add additional salt or pepper. The restaurant space is on the small side, but comfortable and didn't seem crowded even when the tables all filled up. I will absolutely return here.

I recently visited this restaurant with a group of friends and we were disappointed by the quality of the food. I ordered Lobster Ravioli and it was dry, too salty and not hot enough. The dish lacked flavor and the portion size was too small. Even the Garlic Mashed Potatoes I ordered lacked Garlic flavor and tasted chunky like it was made from boxed Mashed Potatoes. 2 of my friends ordered Spaghetti and Meatballs and the pan it came in was too small it looked like a dish from the Kid's Menu. The portions were too small considering the prices and it didn't have enough meatballs so, they both had to order extra meatballs to make the meal complete. The bread was too dry and hard to swallow. The menu is weird because, most of the dishes do not have pasta that comes with it although this is an Italian restaurant but, pasta can be ordered as a side dish. The waiter was attentive but was incorrectly reaching over us to refill our drinks and that was annoying. We came here to celebrate one of my friend's birthday and we brought our own cake. They charged us all extra for bringing our own cake (dessert) and serving the cake to us on small plates. I have never been to a restaurant that charges customers for bringing a birthday cake to celebrate someone's birthday. This restaurant needs to improve their food quality, portion sizes and menu. I will say I liked the cleanliness of the restaurant and restroom. All of my friends left disappointed by the food we had, it was not worth coming and we should have went somewhere else to enjoy some good Italian food.

Serena was great because she anticipated our needs. We ordered the bronx chicken parmigiana for my Mother and she recommended we put the cherry peppers on the side due to my Mom being sensitive to spiciness. She ended up absolutely loving the chicken parmegiana with the creamy sauce on the rigatoni! The atmosphere with the music was calming yet also very upbeat. The lobster ravioli was amazing! The best I've ever had! 10/10 food, 10/10 atmosphere and 10/10 service!

Great food, from the appetizers all the way to the desserts. The calamari were the super tender and lightly breaded, perfect. The lobster ravioli savory and abundant, the sauce delicious. Very good service on top. If you don't want to wait, go at 9 pm or later.

It was amazing the full package very welcoming and the food absolutely amazing the best I personally had. I specifically got the ravioli with an extra meatball and it was fantastic would highly recommend to family and friends.

Went this past Saturday and it was soooooo good, not exaggerating at all!!! It’s really hard to find an authentic Italian restaurant here in San Antonio but this place definitely is it! My boyfriend ordered the lobster ravioli and it was absolutely delicious. I ordered the lamb chops and it was so succulent. We had the crab cakes for appetizer and it was like the best crab cake I’ve had in a while. We had dessert and even the dessert was yummy, I have nothing bad to say whatsoever. Our waiter was amazing as well, he made sure or drinks were never empty and was very knowledgeable about the menu. The atmosphere is very cute and classy. I will definitely be back soon! 🙂

The owner and the rest of the staff were incredibly friendly and attentive. The food was delicious, especially the crab cakes! My husband didn’t like his ravioli, but the owner promptly came over and offered him a different plate, which arrived just as quickly.

We came to Mare e Monte at 11:15 on the Saturday after Valentine's Day. Their dining area is split between more intimate 2 person tables and larger tables for bigger parties near the bar. We were seated immediately. They started us with some wood fired bread and oil that was perfectly cooked and warm. The owner came out to welcome us and let us know that we should treat it like we're family and ask for anything we want. We started with the Caesar salad and calamari which were both great. They were out of lasagna, but we ended up getting the lobster ravioli and pasta al nero with scallops. Both were outstanding. For dessert we tried the house made blueberry cheesecake and cannolis. Wow they were great. Service was extremely attentive. Food was perfect. Atmosphere was good. Highly recommend. More folks were arriving as we were leaving and parking was filling up. I think we picked a good time.

Best Italian food I have had in San Antonio. Service was phenomenal and the owner walking around greeting and speaking with every table thanking them was the cherry on top! We tried the lobster ravioli and the fettuccine with shrimp. The tiramisu was amazing!!

I just ate the best meatballs I’ve ever had. They come on a bed of caramelized onions, sweet peppers and sliced garlic cloves…. The sauce and the cheese on top were divine. I used their thinly sliced ciabatta bread to scoop up all of that good stuff, and it was *chef’s kiss.* I ordered the Ravioli Mare e Monte for my entree and it was amazing. These raviolis were STUFFED with lobster. They were not stingy at all. 10/10

We went here last night to celebrate my husband's birthday and we had the best time! The food and service were absolutely perfect, the owner checked at every table to make sure everyone was enjoying their meal. My mom wasn't a huge fan of her dish, but didn't say anything. The owner noticed himself and immediately offered to get her my dish (best ravioli I've ever eaten). I've never even seen service like that anywhere else! We ordered canolis for dessert (you have to get them!) The owner brought out a complimentary cheesecake for my husband (best he has ever eaten) and sang to him. I honestly don't think I've been to a better restaurant in all of Texas. They have 5 stars for a reason!

It was very easy going and laid back, inside a very clean and stylish setting. The staff is very attentive and friendly, not stuffy. The Lobster Ravioli was awesome!

Go eat at Mare E Monte! Traveled to San Antonio for a quick trip and had a long needed date night. Service was absolutely perfect; Staff is super attentive and they can be as the restaurant is not overwhelmingly large. We had the artichoke appetizer (delicious!) the Ravioli Mare E Monte, and a glass of wine. It was a perfect experience.

This was an interesting yet very satisfying experience. We entered through the rear of the restaurant, a bit different but it allowed us to see more of the space. Very nice and cozy. Some holiday decor but not much. It wasn’t loud or library silent . We were immediately seated by the owner, who greeted us with welcome home. He sat us in the front. It was nice. Several tables around with other couples/groups engaged in conversation. The staff was dressed neatly and looked like they enjoyed their jobs. Our waiter was very nice and pretty quick. We enjoyed some complementary bread and butter. Bread was deliciously fresh and had good flavor. We were given just enough to hold us through ordering, which was great because we were totally looking forward to our entree. We split a César salad and it was good. It took us a while to decide what to order, the menu had many attractive options. I selected the Ravioli Mare e Monte, because I LOVE ravioli. The sauce was so creamy and tasty. I would definitely order this again. My hunny ordered the highly recommended Bronx Pollo Parmigiana. Wasn’t really his thing. He said the flavors were hit or miss and it just didn’t look appealing. He doesn’t typically have a fried meat with his pasta. The owner noticed almost immediately this was not the dish for my love. So he offered to prepare something else. He selected the Lasagne al Forno. BEST DECISION! So good. The tomatoes in the meat sauce were so flavorful. There was a sweetness that said IM FRESH and was chopped by hand. Lol. I will definitely order that the next time! We don’t usually take home leftovers but that came home. It was so filling. It was even good when we reheated it. Our food came out a little fast but management noticed and quickly took action. We were able to sit and enjoy our food and the environment, no need to rush. We left the establishment feeling like it was money well spent. We will absolutely return.

Our family loved everything about this lovely restaurant. Each of the 3 dishes we enjoyed were all delicious‐ we had the lasagna, lobster ravioli with veal & Pollo ala picatta & we all highly recommend. It was extra special to celebrate a birthday with a tasty dessert of tiramisu. If you're gluten free, you MUST try their gluten free bread. It's amazing. The ambiance is perfect and the hospitality is like no other. 5 star & HIGHLY RECOMMEND. We will be back!

First time we have visited this restaurant and we were not disappointed. Best ravioli I have ever had. Great wine selection. The owner helped me pick the wine to pair with my food. Our waiter was so nice. The owner is doing it right, he cared that we had good service and we enjoyed our food. Highly recommend. We will be going back soon.

My family and I had dinner tonight and we absolutely loved everything about this restaurant. We were seated right away. Customer service was incredible. The owner, Prince, came over and introduced himself. He made us feel very welcomed. I mentioned to Prince I was craving spaghetti carbonara and he immediately said, sure, I will make it for you. We had already placed our order, but he mentioned he would the carbonara. Can I say, it wasn’t on the menu! I can’t remember how long ago we have received this kind of customer service. Everything we ordered was unbelievably incredible. We ordered the lobster ravioli, spaghetti Al Nero, and penne allá vodka. This place is a gem in San Antonio. This restaurant did not disappoint. Jessie was our waiter and he was excellent, best customer service. We will be back real soon. We love it and can’t wait to come back!! 10 out of 10 👍

Nothing short of amazing! Every dish was wonderful (Insalata Caprese, Carciofi di Tartufo, Fettuccine di Parma, Sole Oregenata, and Ravioli Mare e Monte). Wonderful meal in a welcoming atmosphere! Overall excellent service and food. We’ll be back.

Amazing food and service! The Bronx Vitello Parmigiana and the Lobster Ravioli were some of the best Italian meals we have had. Will 100% be visiting again soon.

Zerina is an excellent server and is very very kind. The atmosphere is so nice and we were constantly checked on to make sure everything is okay. No wonder this place has 5 stars. The Lobster Ravioli, lasagna, & calamari was amazzzingg!! Will definitely recommend & come back!

We ordered the meatballs, calamari, lobster ravioli, and Bronx pollo parmigiana. Everything was delicious! The bread was amazing! It had to be freshly baked. They also must make their pastas from scratch, so they are better than any pasta you’ll get anywhere else. Also, the owner was so kind. He stopped by every table to check in and make sure everyone was enjoying their food. He seemed genuinely interested in anything the guests had to say, so he could improve the restaurant. The restaurant is small, so I would definitely go early if you can. It seemed to fill up around dinner time. I’ll definitely be back!

Mare E Monte provided us with a fantastic dining experience. The food was impressive, and the staff was kind and attentive. My husband appreciated the lobster ravioli, and the lasagna was a hit. Try to save room for dessert! We'll definitely return!

We had the fish in lemon butter with shrimp on top. It was perfectly cooked, flavors balanced beautifully and the meats were perfectly caramelized. We had the artichoke appetizer, came out perfectly, warm artichokes over fresh mozzarella and prosciutto. We also had the lobster ravioli, which I wish the raviolis themselves were a bit larger, and there was a little less sausage in the sauce. However, it is still a dish I would recommend. Ended the meal with strawberry tiramisu which was light, refreshing and a good ending for the meal. Although this place has only been open 3 months, we are excited to see the menu grow and the atmosphere develop. The food is definitely amazing with great flavor and balance in the dishes. You won’t find overpowering American flavors, it is truly on the European spectrum of elegant flavors. Would love to see the atmosphere develop into more of an elegant evening destination. Maybe more seclusion around the tables and painting the ceiling black/lowering the lights to bring the ceiling down. Overall wonderful experience.

Wonderful food and very warm, friendly atmosphere. Even the bussers were eager to assist the patrons. Try the ravioli, pollo parmigiana, or anything for that matter, and I’ll bet you won’t be disappointed. So all I can say about the food critic for the San Antonio Express-News is that he was high on something that would make Tony Montana consider his life choices, because this restaurant is outstanding.

This place was great. My husband loved the chicken parm, our fried ravioli app was yummy, and we ended up ordering all 3 deserts. The complimentary glass of wine was very sweet but very good. Service is almost too much? Is that a thing? There are a LOT of workers, server, drink bringers, the manager, the hostess… everyone was lovely and kind but it was a lot.

The owner and the servers are welcoming but there were issues. My 6 year old had our drinks spilled on him and the glass cut him and my friend a little. Of course they were apologetic and it was no huge harm done, they gave him a shirt and a free dessert and gave me an extra meal but for me the food was OK. We had the calamari and shrimp appetizer which was good, his chicken strips were a little over cooked and my lobster ravioli was ok. I didn't really love the texture of the actual ravioli pasta. My friend had the shrimp penne which to me was spicy but she enjoyed it and my other friend had the fettuccine and mushrooms which were good. They got the chocolate cake which they enjoyed and I the affagoto but I just enjoyed the ice cream. The espresso was too strong for me. I wouldn't mind not going again.

The staff and owner, Prince, are all so welcoming and friendly. We shared Calamari and a salad, our main courses: the lasagna, the pollo dish, and the mushroom ravioli. Everything was cooked to perfection. We had the dessert of the day which was their version of a banana pudding, it was fantastic, not too sweet and full of flavor.

I took my husband to Mare E Monte for his birthday on Saturday. Our expectations were beyond exceeded! My husband had the Bronx Pollo Parmigiana, my son had Fettuccine di Parma with shrimp, and I had the Sole Oregenata. We also had calamari fritti and ravioli fritti as apps. The dishes were all so fresh, beautifully prepared, and melt in your mouth delicious! The Salted Caramel Chocolate cake was decadent! Our waitress was so friendly and attentive, as was the owner. We went in unsure of what to expect and left feeling like family! We will definitely be back!

Great food and service. Prince knows what he is doing here! Friendly work luncheon today. We started with calamari and meatballs. Both delicious. Two of us had lobster ravioli and it was wonderful. I cleaned the sauce up out of the dish with some bread! Chocolate caramel came with sea salt was a great dessert. Not cheap but not outrageous. Would definitely go again.

Food is outstanding. Service was excellent. Penne and spaghetti pasta were slightly overcooked but ravioli were perfect. Will be returning frequently. Second best Italian I’ve had in San Antonio.

Our experience at Mare E Monte was phenomenal, specifically: 1). Customer service-5. Professionally greeted at the door quickly seated, and the waiter introduced himself very professionally recommended excellent menu choices. 2). Food fast and quality-5. We had the Ravioli Fritti as an appetizer. Pollo alla Picatta and the Fettuccine di Parma with chicken, all of the dishes were hot and great tasting requiring zero enhancements (no salt, no pepper, no additional add-ons). We had such a great taste that we decided to share a dessert. Of course our waiter recommended the white chocolate Tiramisu. It was two layers of strawberries and very moisture with white chocolate that was not overly sweet - a perfect way to end a great lunch. 3). Price-5. For the whole experience we paid $75.00. Excellent value for a great lunch. The service team was outstanding, management was very engaging and let us know that they were still in a work in progress. But from our experience, we can’t wait to comeback.

This is my new go-to spot for Italian food in SA. I was immediately met with a warm smile at the door and proceeded to eat some incredible food for my date night. We had the Shrimp Ortegenata to start and it was a 10/10. For the main course, I had the Ravioli Mare E Monte and it exceeded expectations. All around, Mare E Monte was a 10/10 and I look forward to coming again.

I loved this simple Italian restaurant with a short and elegant menu, Prince's service is excellent. Albanian in his roots but with a wonderful European vision. Go and enjoy some good food for a while. I recommend the shrimp and the lobster-stuffed ravioli

Had lunch there today with my daughter (not a child). Fried ravioli appetizer - I had lobster ravioli and she had black pasta the we had raspberry tiramisu & affogato for dessert. Awesome. If I could eat more I would have gone back for dinner. Amazing owner & server. Sue Masters

Great location and beautiful inside. It is still early days but we are hopeful that this becomes a mainstay in the area. Calamari and fried ravioli were both yummy. Had the steak and fries and the chicken with goat cheese. Steak was good fries were perfect. Goat cheese and chicken are always delicious. Tiramisu is a bit different with strawberry instead of espresso and was light and delicious.

This restaurant is new in the neighborhood, and it’s now gonna be one of my “Go To’s” the food blew me away. Had the ravioli….OMG, and the filet of sole, amazing, I’ve never felt that I would ever post a review, but this little restaurant truly deserves praise, food was fantastic, enjoyed it so much
